You can see me on tonight's edition of BBC London news chatting about how Barack and Michelle can serve as inspiration to young people. I'm there alongside Tim Campbell, an inspirational entrepreneur and former winner if the UK version of The Apprentice (nice guy). My bit starts about 20 minutes and 35 seconds in.
Again, that link is here.
I can't really stand watching myself - and I know if my Mom were watching she'd notice how desperately I am in need of makeup. Sorry Mom!

Oh, God. They've allowed the Obamanation to get passports and leave the US. This is not good to all the normal Americans (like me) who live here, quietly, and who really don't need the Obamanation making us all look stupid.
I love freedom of speech... but I wish you guys would STFU
I'm going to go out on a limb with something here. I just have this funny sense...
You're not being honest here. You don't actually live in the UK, do you? I've met a (very) few folks here who don't much like Obama but... They don't sound like you. You live in America, is my guess. Am I wrong? Where DO you live?
But anyway, thanks for sharing, Anonymous.
Most normal Americans who live here that I've met agree with Karin. the Obamas are indeed inspiring. Who dreamed up the nasty term "Obamanation"? Karl Rove?
Jo - in fact, the term Obamanation was coined by Jerome Corsi, noted right wing comspiracy theorist, in a book that Fact Check.org described as: "a mishmash of unsupported conjecture, half-truths, logical fallacies and outright falsehoods."
Sadly, this description now applies to much actual Republican policy nowadays. We've come a long way from the Republican party that my father and grandfather were proud to be a part of.
The Obamas are an inspiration. I have blogged about this too.
Hi Maelo, that's a lovely blog - thanks for sharing it. ;)
