The Scene in London today...

Preparations are under way for the President's visit - thanks to the US Embassy for their excellent info page.

I'm hearing reports that the President will arrive in Britain tonight, instead of tomorrow AM as planned - due to concerns about the Iceland volcanic eruption and the possibility that it might disrupt flights. Either way - tomorrow the First Couple will be here for sure.

Hi,

Any tips/links on best place/time to see Obama tomorrow?

Thanks,
Chris

Tricky as he'll be at Buckingham Palace most of the day tomorrow taking meetings. Best bet is probably to be outside Downing Street around lunchtime - when they're hosting a barbecue for US and UK servicemen, or outside Parliament on Wednesday - he's due to speak at Westminster hall around 3:45. In either case, you might catch a glimpse of the motorcade.

Saw Obama and his huge entourage (about 25 vehicles) coming down Parkway, Camden Towards Holloway at 6pm this evening. I guess on the way somewhere from the US ambassadors place at Regents Park...he's definitely here!

Thanks for letting us know, Anonymous! What time did you see the Presidential motorcade come through?
